COVID-19 #1

In response to the current coronavirus state of emergency announced by Governor Whitmer, Pages Bookshop is taking some preventive steps. The biggest step is to postpone our events for the rest of March. This was a difficult decision and one that was made jointly with authors and venues but we feel that we need to err on the side of caution and not gather people in the store or offsite venues. We are working with authors and publishers to reschedule and we’ll keep you informed of all changes on our social media, website, and emails.

Our store will remain open during normal working hours and we are taking all the recommended precautions. We are sanitizing the ‘most touched’ areas of the store regularly. All customers are welcome to come in, browse our shelves and make in store purchases. Shopping at small independent stores will not take you into crowded chain stores.

This decision, while necessary, will hurt our store financially. We’ll need your support during this time. We encourage you to shop online if you can’t make it to the store. If you need help, call the store and you can order via phone or we’ll walk you through the steps. Books can still be picked up in the store or shipped to your home. Shipping charges will be waived through the end of March.

Thank you for understanding and your continued support.
